On behalf of King Aderemi Adedapo, the Alayemore of Ido-Osun – secretary of the National Council of Traditional Rulers of Nigeria, the Chairman of the Board - Mr. William Verdone, Ambassador Plenipotentiary Henry MacDonald - the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Suriname, Bishop Dr. Chiemezie Ogbu, Dr. Barryl Biekman, including The Chairman of Peace and Harmonization Committee of the Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chief Onwuka Ukwa, Mrs. Sara Wolf, Trustee Carmelo Garcia, H. E. Ambassador Isaiah Chabala of Zambia, delegations of American indigenous communities, and members of African Views Organization including myself, that I share with you a comprehensive report of the 2017 Spirit of Peace conference that took place on Nelson Mandela Day, July 18, and July 19, 2017 at the Federal Hall, National Memorial, Wall Street New York. We thank all event attendees and all who supported the Spirit of Peace Initiative.

On behalf of the Sacred Fire organization and the United Indigenous peoples and Tribes of the Americas, we would like to sincerely thank you all for attending our 2nd annual Spirit of Peace conference and ceremony in July. With your support, the Spirit of Peace ceremony now opens doors for so many to a world of much needed healing. We are pleased that you shared this sacred moment with us. We will keep you all posted on our progress and our upcoming Spirit of Peace conference for 2018 and hope you can visit us again and shed the light we collectively shared that day with the rest of the world.

Many thanks to Dr. Julius Garvey (Son of the Honorable Marcus Mosiah Garvey) and Mr. Arthur McFarlane II (Grandson of Dr. W.E.B. DuBois) and Mrs. Teresa McFarlane for making a meaningful Truth and Reconciliation between W.E.B DuBois and Garvey possible and thereby allowing us to write a conclusively meaningful chapter about these two African legends from constructive African views within the history of the world.


Finally, our thanks go to those who have taken the time to provide valuable feedback on ways to continuously improve the Spirit of Peace program and conference. We are in the process of making many changes in response to your suggestions. We know from your input that attending and presenting at Spirit of Peace Conference provides an immense opportunity for professional growth, learning, and networking, and we take very seriously our responsibility in ensuring those goals are achieved.
